Kenneth Van Wyk, M.B.A., RP — Program Director
Ken began his career at Christian Counselling Services in 1973 as an intern and remained on staff as a psychotherapist. His initial training and practice in psychotherapy was based on the client-centred model of Carl Rogers and interlaced with the person-centred therapy of Paul Tournier. Subsequent training in systems theory led him to psychotherapeutic interest in applying systems theory in his work with families, couples, individuals and organizations.
Lawrence Beech, Ph.D., RP — Admission Co-ordinator
During his many years as a psychotherapist, Larry has worked as a clinician, educator and supervisor, and in this TCPCE psychotherapy training program is dedicated to integrating theoretical knowledge in psychotherapy with experiential learning occurring in the context of individual and group supervision.
Catherine Skillin, Psy.D., RP, RMFT
Catherine has practiced psychotherapy for many years. During her career, she has worked as a clinician, educator and supervisor. For many years, she specialized in trauma therapy. Her training began with systems theory and client-centred therapy and then later included psychodynamic therapy and EMDR. Catherine particularly enjoys teaching and providing supervision to the next generation of psychotherapists.
Raymond Antao, M.Sc., Th.M., RP — Admin / Registrar
Ray, after having finished his initial training in psychotherapy at Anugraha, Tamil Nadu — India, completed his Master’s in psychotherapy within the Toronto School of Theology, U of T. His approach to psychotherapy is eclectic in responding to the client’s needs and goals. He draws his therapeutic skills from a variety of theoretical models.
Richard (Rick) Tamas, Ph.D., RP
During his years practicing psychotherapy, Richard has worked as an educator, clinician, researcher, and supervisor. His doctoral studies encompass human relationships, psychotherapy, shame, and spiritual care. In this TCPCE graduate-level psychotherapy program, he is committed to the integration of theory, clinical practice, and experiential learning in the context of academic learning and supervision.
