Professional Development workshop on "HEALING THE SOUL WOUND" March 31-2025 from 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m

For more information, click here

Description:"We are All Treaty People." "All My Relations." "It is all about the land."I begin with these statements because they are the foundation of understanding healing/psychotherapy with Indigenous people. Without embodying these teachings, healing/therapy risks perpetuating harm and trauma. Ignoring them continues the cycle of colonization and dehumanization of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. But if you embody these teachings, you open the door to deeper healing—for yourself, for Indigenous people, and for our shared humanity.
In this workshop, we will explore how these teachings shape the healing/therapeutic relationship and examine the historical and cultural narratives that inform Indigenous and non-Indigenous experiences in Canada. Through practical, participatory engagement, we will challenge psychological assumptions and offer tools to deepen your practice. This is an invitation to reflect on your own healing journey, recognizing that you are not to blame—but you are responsible for how you engage in the work of healing and reconciliation. Together, we can walk a path of understanding and collective healing in a good way.

Workshop Presentor:
ᓃᐸᐧᐃᐤ ᐧᐋᐸᔅᑯ, Niebow Wabusk (Campbell Page), is Mosoniw-Illiwak (Moose Cree), Red River Michif/Métis, Scottish, English, and Norwegian. He is an Indigenous-centered Consultant, Psychotherapist, Reconciliation Facilitator, Healer, and Professor. Through Rising Bear Consulting and Psychotherapy, He offers Indigenous-centred, culturally grounded, strength-based perspectives, wholistic support rooted in the traditional teachings of the medicine wheel—addressing the spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental aspects of well-being, on their journey toward misiweyâw (being whole).
A Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO, Campbell is also trained in traditional Cree/Algonquin energy healing for those seeking this practice. He specializes in assisting individuals navigating a range of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and the complexities of Indigenous identity. He holds expertise in supporting clients grappling with the tensions between traditional Indigenous worldviews and Christian experiences.
Niebow’s purpose is to nurture reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. His work spans healing relationships and facilitating programming across Canada. He lives by the principle: "We are all kin; how one of us lives affects us all. Love, respect, courage, truth, honesty, humility, wisdom, and a deep connection to our Creator will help us live lives that invite healing of the past and present, creating unlimited possibilities for the future."
